Laura Wilkinson

"Around five years ago I started writing fiction. I have had published short stories in a handful of magazines; BloodMining is my first novel. I am shocked and thrilled to be winner of the Bridge House Debut Novel Competition – thank you."

Laura Wilkinson has a BA in Literature from the University of Manchester. She now works as a freelance journalist, editor and copywriter. BloodMining is the story of a young woman's quest to uncover the truth about her origins to save her son's life. It is a story of loss, love and discovery; a sifting through family history, an unearthing of what it means to be a parent.
